The resultant soft-tissue defect measured 20 × 20 cm; this was reconstructed using five pieces of AlloDerm measuring 4 × 12 cm sutured together using permanent monofilament suture (Fig. 2, above). The AlloDerm “patch” was sutured to the edges of the defect (Fig. 2, center) and covered with an ipsilateral pedicled latissimus dorsi muscle flap (Fig. 2, below). A skin graft covered the muscle and a vacuum-assisted wound closure device (KCI, San Antonio, Texas) was used to secure the graft.
