The argument that "the tenant who terminated their lease is responsible for paying the difference in rent for the remainder of the lease period" is baseless when my contract was cheaper and included all the water, sewer, and garbage.
Based on the inaccurate billing ledger sent to me, the property was rented out in November, two months after I had moved out. It is safe to assume that had the property been advertised for the two months it should have been advertised that this could all have been avoided.
Please amend the invoice removing the 10/01/2023 | 4000-Rent, 09/01/2023 | 4000-Rent, take back the $600 credit, and issue me my deposit check of $667.76 which would be the deposit minus the two 4730 - General cleaning charges and the 4741- General Maintenance charge.
