Performance Enablement Platforms (PEPs), which Rallyware brought to market in the 2020s, are the next evolution in the LMS-LXP lineage, taking tech beyond learning into the enablement of sales performance itself. In the language of the “point of enablement,” PEPs enable multiple inputs at once, not one alone, increasing the maximum output for the seller. One of the core principles behind PEP is that the seller’s experience extends well beyond simply learning and training. Learning consists of lessons learned in the past about situations the seller might face in the future. PEPs drive sales performance in the present moment, as the seller faces specific situations, obtains specific goals and incentives, and develops specific skills. This allows the seller’s technology to affect her core measurable outcomes like sales volume, sell through, and repeat foot traffic, instead of abstract objectives like lesson completion – lessons which may or may not be implemented correctly when it comes time.
