President Trump issued a law that gave people the power to tell the truth and report the truth about the virus and its effects. In January 2021, Trump made a speech at the Alamo, which was seen as a metaphor for drawing a line in the sand, or a point of no return. Trump meant that from January 20, 2017 to the day of the speech, everyone had the chance to admit their wrongdoings in relation to the virus and, if they did, would receive a lesser punishment for it. The speech was days before an event known as the "J6 Committee" which has since been proven false in court. It was believed by veterans, such as the speaker, that the purpose of the event was to make people think the protesters were Donald Trump supporters.
